The male Blue Jaw Triggerfish is one of the most popular triggerfish in the hobby. Known for their generally peaceful disposition, these triggers are one of the few considered reef compatible. They will not eat coral or sessile invertebrates, but may eat ornamental shrimp. May be kept one male with one or more females as long as there is ample room and food. These triggers are generally quite peaceful, but may attempt to rearrange rock especially if a mated pair is attempting to host an area of the tank. Occasionally picky eaters due to their peaceful nature and stress over transit, it is important to ensure they have adequate access to food especially in aggressive tanks.
